To commemorate the opening of their new Urgent Care Clinic, OHSU Tuality Healthcare leadership were joined by dignitaries from the City of Forest Grove, including Mayor Peter Truax, City Councilor Tim Rippe, City Manager Jesse VanderZanden, and board members of the Forest Grove Chamber of Commerce for a ribbon cutting to officially welcome the clinic to the Forest Grove community.

The new clinic is the first step in the organization’s vision to better serve the Forest Grove community by providing a more appropriate level of care, easier access and shorter wait times.  An Urgent Care delivery model also offers the additional benefit of more cost-effective care and improved insurance coverage for many patients.

“I appreciate that Tuality recognizes their commitment to Forest Grove and western Washington County and is continuing to provide healthcare to all of us,” said Mayor Peter Truax.  “They are an important part of what makes this a special place to be.”

“We are just beginning to explore what our community partnerships look like and that’s really what this transition is all about,” said OHSU Tuality Healthcare President Lori James-Nielsen.  “This is step one of many new phases—we are just beginning to envision what belongs on this campus.”

“When I initially approached our emergency physicians about continuing to practice in Forest Grove in an urgent care setting, they all had wonderful things to say about working here,” said Joe Hardman, M.D., OHSU Tuality Healthcare Chief Medical Officer.  “They love this community, they love practicing here, and they all elected to stay here.”

OHSU Tuality Healthcare Urgent Care in Forest Grove is located at 1098 Maple Street, and is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. to serve patients with urgent medical needs such as cuts requiring stitches, sprains, skin rashes, fever, flu, sore throats, coughs and more.  Outpatient lab and X-ray services are also available on-site.
