Patent Information

Information for patients of Tuality Urgent Care.

No Appointment Necessary

We are open every day from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., except major holidays when our hours may be shorter. No appointment is needed.

While Tuality Urgent Care is not meant to replace your private physician, we’re there when you need us should you or your family have an immediate need for medical attention. Except in an extreme emergency, patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis.

To help ensure consistency of care, we will forward information about the care you received at Tuality Urgent Care to your private physician. If you don’t have a private physician, the free Tuality Healthcare Physician Information service can help you find one. Please call 503-681-1750.

Insurance and Billing

Tuality Urgent Care is a preferred provider for several health plans and accepts assignment for Medicare. As a courtesy, we can bill your insurance company. Please bring your insurance card at the time of service.

Some insurance plans require a referral from your private physician before our services will be covered. Before you visit us, we encourage you to call your physician.

Should your plan require a co-payment, we ask that you pay this at the time of your service. Because we are an urgent-care facility, your plan may require a different co-payment than what you usually pay—even if your private physician referred you to Tuality Urgent Care. We encourage you to consult your health plan or insurance manual for specific details.

In addition to cash, we accept VISA®, MasterCard® and Discover®.

Tuality Urgent Care offers a more appropriate alternative to emergency room care for general medical problems, injuries and illnesses. However, we are not a long-term substitute for a primary care physician.

For this reason, we normally do not refill prescriptions for chronic or long-term conditions, such as birth control, high cholesterol, thyroid, hypertension, and antidepressant medication. Close monitoring and ongoing lab studies are required for effective long-term treatment of these conditions. Urgent Care is not the most appropriate setting to ensure the best results in these situations.

Our treatment philosophy also prevents us from issuing liberal prescriptions for antibiotics, as this has been linked to the emergence of drug-resistant bacteria.

On-site Lab

Our on-site laboratory performs a range of services from rapid strep tests to complete blood counts. To ensure accuracy, we run sample tests daily. We are also involved in federally mandated accreditation programs.
