Aquatic Therapy

Aquatic therapy is a safe form of physical therapy that takes place in a pool equipped with a lift chair, steps and rails. The water’s buoyancy allows freedom of movement that is ideal if you have difficulty exercising on land due to pain, weakness or paralysis

Our aquatic rehabilitation program helps people with restricted mobility by:

  • Improving flexibility
  • Improving balance and coordination
  • Building muscle strength and endurance

Musculoskeletal Program

Does muscle or back pain or some other limitation prevent you from being more physically active? Our musculoskeletal rehabilitation program can help you become more active. The program includes:

  • Gait (walking) retraining and methods of safe ambulation (including the use of a walker, cane, or crutch)
  • Pain management

Neuromuscular Disorders

Our neuromuscular physical and occupational program is designed to rebuild strength of injured tissue and decrease specific areas causing you pain. Our team of therapists treat patients diagnosed with:

  • Cerebral palsy
  • Muscular dystrophy
  • Spinal cord injury

Balance and Vestibular Rehabilitation

An inner ear/balance (vestibular) disorder can often cause dizziness, vertigo, and imbalance.  Our balance and vestibular rehabilitation physical therapists work with you to stimulate and retrain the vestibular system.

The therapy program is designed to:

  • Provide eye movement control (Gaze) stability
  • Improve balance

Lymphedema Therapy

Lymphedema is a lifelong condition in which fluids gather in tissues causing swelling in parts of your body (arms, legs, face, neck), where the lymphatic system was damaged due to surgery or other medical conditions.

Our certified lymphedema therapists use Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), a gentle-pressure technique used to move the waste fluids away from the damaged area. They will teach you how to manage lymphedema at home and help you through a home exercise program.

Some of the benefits include:

  • Learning the lymphedema precautions and how to manage lymphedema at home.
  • Decreased swelling using a complete decongestive therapy program. (MLD, compression garments, bandaging, exercise)
  • Pain management.
  • Improved flexibility and range of motion.
  • Appropriate conditioning to return to your daily activities.
