Dr. Ciporen (left) and Dr. Williams in surgery. (OHSU/Jeff Schilling)
I don't really know how to start, as between my son and myself, we are seeing five doctors at Tuality and everyone from the receptionists, nurses, medical assistants, and doctors have been wonderful.
But I have three doctors I want to tell you about.
Dr. Daniel Albrecht was the first doctor I saw there. I had been going to another clinic about my back and sciatica for a year and they hadn't done so much as an x-ray. One doctor told me "maybe it will go away in a few months." That was the final straw. I got on line and found Elizabeth Hughes and she sent me to Dr. Albrecht. He sent me for an MRI and then did extensive nerve testing. I wanted injections so he did two sessions but they didn't work to his satisfaction and he felt surgery was the next step. He could have continued to give me injections if that was what I wanted, but he is there for the good of his patients not the dollar. Dr. Albrecht was very thorough and honest and knew what the best thing for me and I thank him for that.
The next step was to see a surgeon. I got an appointment with Dr. Jeremy Ciporen, who in my opinion is one of the greatest neurosurgeons ever. It has been 6 weeks since my surgery. I have not had a bit of pain. I am walking, sitting, and doing my therapy.
With Dr. Ciporen was Dr. Fred Williams, who is a wonderful vascular surgeon. I could not have better care anywhere in the country than I did with Dr. Ciporen, Dr. Williams and Tuality.
Thank you to all involved.
