Surgical Services

Our surgical facilities rank among the best in the Northwest, yet we are conveniently located for residents of western Washington County.  Perhaps our best achievement, however, is providing an environment that promotes peace of mind for our patients and their families.
Using the latest surgical advances and techniques to shorten recovery times and lessen discomfort, we do all we can to promote the healing and ongoing well-being of everyone touched by the stresses of major surgery.

Each year, we perform about 6,000 operations in seven technologically advanced operating rooms, including our highly advanced open-heart surgical suite.

Our specialties include: general, cardiovascular, orthopedic, oncology, neurology, gynecology, urology, otolaryngology, colorectal, ophthalmology, podiatry, oral and dental.

Day Surgery
In the past, most surgical procedures required a stay of some days in the hospital. Recent advances have allowed us to perform many operations in less time, often allowing you to check out the same day and to complete your recuperation from the comfort of your home.

Preparing for Your Stay
A visit to surgical services often begins with a Pre-admission Clinic appointment. In order to prepare you for the operation, a pre-admission nurse will sit down with you at no charge to answer any questions you may have and to discuss matters related to your surgery and recovery.

At that time, X-rays, lab work, or other tests will also likely take place. Discharge plans will also be discussed and may include discussions with a therapist, dietitian or other health professional. The idea is to help put you at ease to give you a complete picture of your road to recovery.

Please be sure to schedule your visit within two weeks of your surgery date. Your visit will take about one hour.

Tuality Outpatient Surgery
Tuality Outpatient Surgery (TOPS) offers yet another convenient, less-stressful option.  TOPS allows patients to safely elect to have certain less-invasive procedures performed outside of the hospital, and yet still take advantage of advances in technology, surgical techniques and pain-management.
