Patients and Visitors

Welcome to Tuality Community Hospital. Our visitor guidelines are established to provide a restful, healing, safe and supportive environment for our patients who are staying overnight in the hospital.

Visiting Hours: Tuality offers an open visiting policy. To allow patients adequate rest, visitors are encouraged to visit between 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. After 9 p.m., visitors must enter the hospital through the Emergency Department entrance and obtain a visitor pass.

Designated Support Person: each patient may identify one support person who will have 24-hour visiting privileges.

Birth Center: 2nd Floor

Labor & Delivery:

  • Each patient is allowed up to 3 visitors during labor and delivery, at the request of the patient.
  • Visitors under 12 years old must have an adult to supervise them.
  • The number of visitors can be changed at any timeat the discretion of the care team.

Following Delivery:

  • The patient may determine how many visitors they would like to have at any one time.
  • The patient may request quiet hours to allow for rest or bonding with the newborn.
  • Visitors under 12 years old must have an adult to supervise them.
  • The patient’s designated support person will be issued a special badge and may visit at any time, day or night.
  • The number of visitors can be changed at any time at the discretion of the care team.

Critical Care: 2nd Floor ICU

  • Visiting hours are flexible and subject to the discretion of the patient’s nurse.
  • Please use the phone in the ICU waiting room to call and ask if it is an appropriate time to visit.
  • Please limit the number of visitors to two at any time, unless special arrangements are made with the nurse.
  • Children under 12 are allowed only if special arrangements are made with the nurse.
  • Cards and pictures are welcome; no flowers, plants or balloons in the ICU please.
  • The number of visitors can be changed at any time at the discretion of the care team.
