Diabetes Education

Note: You are encouraged to bring a support person with you to class at no additional cost. A physician referral is required for insurance billing. Most providers will cover the cost of the class. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify.
This nine-hour class is designed to help you develop a personal plan of care as well as gain the knowledge and skills to manage your diabetes. Class includes a session with a dietitian to create your own custom meal plan, and a session with a nurse to develop blood glucose testing strategies. Check your progress at a one-hour follow-up meeting held about one month after your class.
