Tuality Healthcare will soon begin building a new Breast Health Center that will allow for housing digital mammography technology along with all other current functions of Tuality’s Breast Health Services.
The new space will be located on the third floor of Tuality 7th Ave. Medical Plaza in Hillsboro.
The Tuality Healthcare Foundation is continuing fundraising efforts to support creating the new center. Digital mammography will be made possible there through contributions already raised by the Foundation.
When construction is completed in late spring or early summer of 2011, the Breast Health Center will include two digital mammography rooms, plus space for a third as future needs require. The new center also will carry over stereotactic and other image-guided breast biopsies, breast ultrasound, bone density exams, and additional resources provided in the current Breast Health Services location.
“Expanding our capabilities in this specialty is an important step forward in the level of quality and service we provide for the community,” said Dick Stenson, president & CEO, Tuality Healthcare.
The Breast Health Center will provide an improved experience for patients, with a new and welcoming environment, and closer proximity to surgery suites and other imaging modalities. The new facility also will improve workflow and efficiencies for staff, allowing them time to enhance their already highly regarded patient services.
“I want to express our deepest appreciation to everyone who has donated funds, and given their time and talents, to help support the Foundation’s successful effort to bring digital mammography to our community,” Stenson said. “It is an important computer-based technology that will soon be available for the first time to women here in western Washington County.”
“I also want to encourage everyone to sustain the momentum by contributing to the Foundation’s continuing campaign in support of Tuality’s new Breast Health Center.”
