Tuality Healthcare is starting the New Year with updated corporate Vision and Mission statements that promise an increased emphasis on quality of care and customer service from the region’s health care provider.
The new Vision and Mission statements are the result of extensive brainstorming by hospital executives, as well as listening to feedback from employees at 11 Town Hall meetings to preview the new statements. The statements were approved by the Tuality Healthcare Board at its December meeting.
New Vision Statement
To be the health system of choice for our region, our patients, our providers, and our employees by delivering the highest quality care at an exceptional level of service.
New Mission Statement
Using skill and compassion, we are building a healthier community by bringing quality clinical care and unparalleled service to our region in partnership with our patients, physicians and health care professionals.
“These new statements reflect several points I would like to emphasize,” said Tuality Healthcare President and CEO Manny Berman. “First is that our patients expect quality clinical care. Second is that exceptional customer service will set us apart from our competitors. And, finally, this is a team effort involving all Tuality employees and our providers.”
Berman pointed out that the previous Vision and Mission statements were over 20 years old and needed to be refreshed to reflect the changing nature of healthcare delivery.
The journey to new Vision and Mission statements began last summer with a series of meetings involving Tuality Healthcare administrators, board members, directors, and representatives of the Advisory Board, a leading healthcare think tank based in Washington, D.C. The work continued through the fall and culminated with the Tuality Healthcare Board approving the new statements.
The work on the Vision/Mission statements also produced a new Strategic Business Plan with five corporate goals – Exceptional Organizational Culture, Destination Health Care Employer, Community Reputation for Unparalleled Value, Preferred Provider for Area Physicians and Service Line Excellence.
Each of these corporate goals has a number of objectives that will help Tuality Healthcare achieve these goals. The Strategic Business Plan also incorporates a number of themes stressed by employee during the 12 Town Hall meetings.
