Leda Garside, clinic services manager at ¡Salud! Services, has been appointed to the Oregon Health Evidence Review Commission by Gov. John Kitzhaber. Garside, a longtime Tuality Healthcare employee, leads ¡Salud!’s healthcare services for Oregon‘s seasonal vineyard workers and their families.

The commission is made up of 13 members, including doctors, public health representation, consumers, pharmacists and behavioral health providers. All must be licensed to practice in Oregon. The commission will assist state government in making critically important health policy decisions.

“We have lots of work ahead, but Oregon has proven to be a leader in health reform,” Garside said. “I’m honored to be involved in the process of bringing comprehensive and cost effective health services to Oregonians.”

Garside was confirmed as a member by the Oregon Senate Rules Committee. “We are lucky to have so many talented Oregonians volunteering to serve our state on important and wide ranging issue,” said Kitzhaber.  “Oregon is well served by this level of citizen involvement from all parts of our state.”
