Results of the Human Bean’s annual “Coffee for a Cure” event show just how much folks in Washington County adore their morning java and are committed to the health of their community. The event, a partnership between Tuality Healthcare Foundation and The Human Bean, raised nearly $2,600 to benefit education, outreach and treatment for patients with breast cancer at Tuality Healthcare.
Friday, Oct. 18, was an extra busy day for both the Cornelius and Hillsboro locations of The Human Bean. At any point in the day, lines of customers packed the drive thru and lobby, ready to give back during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
“We always look forward to this wonderful event,” said Cece Clitheroe, director of Tuality Healthcare Foundation. “I extend a big thank you to The Human Bean and to all those that supported this great cause.”
45 of the 50 Human Bean franchises took part in this annual event, raising a grand total of $108,822.41 to aid various breast health programs. “The people of Hillsboro and Cornelius are extremely generous, thank you for helping us to provide great services and care for the many patients dealing with breast cancer,” said Jackie McGrath, marketing director for The Human Bean corporate office.
Tuality has two options for breast health services - Tuality’s brand new, state-of-the-art Breast Health Center, located in the Seventh Avenue Medical Plaza building as well as the mobile mammography van, which is the only one of its kind in Oregon and travels to businesses, care homes, and other facilities. To schedule an appointment with our Breast Health Center, call 503-681-4111.
